A subconditional
Consecration took
place on November 11 at the Oratory of the Holy Spirit, Enfield, when
the Supervising Bishops of The Liberal Rite (now the LCAC) and
Archbishop Phillip R. Kemp (Mar Francis) of the Independent Catholic
Alliance (now the Traditional Catholic Orthodox Church) exchanged
ordinations and consecrations in a service conducted according to the
Roman Rite. The service concluded with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
and was a joyous occasion appreciated by all present. The Consecration
sub conditione imparts further lines of Apostolic Succession to each
bishop. In addition, the Revd. Fr. Simon Scruton, Vicar-General of the
ICA, was subconditionally reordained to the Sacred Diaconate and
Priesthood at this service.
